*Primary Observation*
(1) There is not a significant amount of time or space to build relationships with students one on one
(2) At the K4 and Kindergarten stage, a parent's relationship with a teacher has a huge impact on how the student relates to the teacher
*Design Challenge*
How might we take the time to get to know our students when there are many behavior problems that take our time away from achieving this?
How might we take the time to get to know our families better so that they trust us with their children?
* Solution Approach*
(1) Using tools in the calm down area in order to be able to form a relationship with a child who needs assistance with anxiety, being upset or angry or just needs a time to find peace within themself
(2) Forming bonds with parents by sending home positive notes to a parent about their child's behavior or performance.
