*Primary Observation*
While Julia Landon is a College Preparatory middle school, there is little to no mention of higher education anywhere on campus.
* Design Challenge*
How might we encourage students to consider and look forward to post-secondary education options.
*Solution Approach*
(1) Have students write to colleges and universities at the beginning of the year. It can be a lesson on how to write a formal letter and learn to use Word and how to address an envelope.
(2) Solicit alumni and friends to send in a pendant from their college with the years they attended our school and their name. Hang the pendants where students will see them (main entrance, cafeteria, media center).
(3) Request community leaders and friends to speak to students about their experiences with higher education
